Comparison of Bershka and my brand
Bershka
Bershka is a clothing retailer company. It is part of the Spanish Inditex group. The company was created in April 1998 as a new store and fashion concept, aimed at a young target market. It now has over 1000 stores in 71 countries around the world. I've chosen to use Bershka as a comparison as their garments are unordinary which makes their clothing a signature piece and this is the aim I am going for.
Worldwide stores
Inspired by the world of music concerts and what goes on behind the scenes, the STAGE aesthetic epitomizes Bershka's DNA: music, fashion and youth. The result is an interior design that is industrial yet airy with open ceilings that reveal the establishments' skeletons. The structure is framed by truss scaffolding that runs around its entire perimeter and is used to hang the lighting, speakers and some of the screens that make up the whole look. The STAGE concept facilitates the shopping experience by means of more user-friendly and versatile furniture and fittings, making it easier to get around the store and providing a better way of displaying the brand's garments and, by extension, each season's new looks.
Packaging
Bershka packaging Is a representation of the brands theme of originality as for certain products they sell, for example perfume, the packaging is original origami which isn't used in any other retail company. Their everyday bags are made of paper hence why it's an eco friendly business which will attract more consumers as people are more likely to purchase their garments as its better for the environment. On their bags they have portraits, illustration and the use of different mediums of colour , e.g. Watercolours which again is better for the environment.
Advertising
Just like majority of companies, Bershka have multiple ways of advertising their products such as; online adverts, social media and billboards of models internationally. They have chosen to advertise via these methods because their target audience is young adults therefore advertising via social media is a direct address to their audience. However if they advertised on tv then it would also aim at the older audience as they're most ,illegal to see it.
